Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul

Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul

The Gothic Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, located on Petrov Hill, is one of the city's landmarks. Its history dates back to the 11th century, but its current form is the result of an 18th-century Baroque reconstruction. The tower of the cathedral offers breathtaking views of Brno. The cathedral is famous for its bells that ring at 11 a.m. instead of noon, a tradition linked to the legend of the city's defense against Swedish troops during the Thirty Years' War.
