Freedom Square
Freedom Square, often referred to simply as "Svoboďák," is Brno's main square and the center of city life. There are several significant historical buildings, statues, and a modern astronomical clock in the shape of a black obelisk that releases a glass marble every hour as a tribute to the Battle of Brno. The square is also a popular venue for various markets, concerts, and cultural events.
